BJ Wane #AuthorSpotlight

I actually don't know BJ Wane  so we are both meeting a new author together. That is why Author Spotlights are great! I love meeting new author friends. I had reached out to my spanking authors and asked if anyone wanted to come play on my page. What better way to start things off than with a BJ. :p Enjoy my lovelies. xx
So, on to the questions for BJ Wane...I wonder what we have in store. I always love getting to the heart of the author.

Suzy Ayers: A milestone or goal you hope to accomplish this year.

BJ Wane: I have already reached my goal for this year-getting accepted by two new publishers!

Wow! So awesome and best of luck with that.

Suzy Ayers: What’s the typical length of time to write vs. length of book?

BJ Wane: A short story, around 40,000 words, will take about two months including editing.  I’ve written two full length novels, 120,000+ words, which took over four months, including research and editing.  They were exhausting, but fun!

Suzy Ayers: What do you still get tripped up on?

BJ Wane: Dialog!  I’m a very quiet person, would rather listen than talk, so dialog comes very hard for me.  It is such an important part of a book that I spend more time on it than anything else.

Suzy Ayers: As a reader what do you look for and do you think that plays into how you write?

BJ Wane: Because I don’t have much time to read, I’ve become very picky, too picky according to friends I exchange books with!  I have a mental block against anything written in the first person, so that leaves out a lot of books.  I like strong heroines, but women who walk into a bar, take out three big guys without breaking a fingernail are definite turn offs for me.  I need a little reality!  My favorite genre to read is romantic suspense and I LOVE gothics, but you rarely see those anymore.

Suzy Ayers: Tell us the book you’re excited to share with us...

BJ Wane: I’m sharing BIND ME TO YOU today, part of my Virginia Blueblood series that
started with BLINDSIDED.  Don’t worry if you haven’t read Blindsided-these are all standalone reads and can be read in any order.

Suzy Ayers: Where are you going next? What is your next project/book?

BJ Wane: My next release is SURRENDER TO ME, another book in this series, and it will be
out May 22.  I am working on BLACKMAILED now, the last in this series.

About BIND ME TO YOU

Camille Statler would do anything for her sister and nephew, including going to a sex club with the intention of getting damning evidence to hold against Joshua’s father to stop his custody suit.  Much to her dismay, she finds Declan Whitmore owns The Warehouse and her attraction to him is just as strong as when they met briefly a few months earlier.

Declan welcomes Camille into his club even though he knows she’s hiding something from him.  Over the next few weeks, she succumbs to his dominance and responds to his controlling discipline but to his frustration, refuses to reveal anything personal about herself. The more time they spend together in and out of the club, the more Camille and Dec want each other.  But soon Dec discovers her deceit and Camille is left to wonder if she waited too long to come clean with him.

Excerpt:

Dec didn’t know what he would do, how he’d react if she said no.  Thank God he didn’t have to find out because, with a look of relief, she followed him to the elevator without a word.
He couldn’t recall a time when he wanted a woman more, not even in his horny college days when women were all he thought about.  It’s just pent up frustration from pent up lust he told himself as they exited the elevator and he led her into the first room on the right.  From the way his cock pressed with painful insistence against his zipper, he felt as if he could explode any second.  He knew he would’ve had no qualms about hauling her outside and taking her against the brick side of the warehouse if he had found all the second floor, private rooms taken when he stopped on this floor on his way downstairs earlier.

“Strip,” he ordered without preamble, tightening his jaw against the surge of possessive pleasure he experienced eyeing the cuffs he had left on her wrists and ankles.  They were wide, thick and bulky.  He wanted her to know she had them on, know who put them there and accept what they meant as long as she wore them.  Her hands shook as she finished unbuttoning her top, her expressive eyes shifting away from his when she shrugged it and her bra off her shoulders.

Holding out his hand, he took them, saying, “Now the skirt.”

Camille kept quiet, afraid if she said anything it would be the wrong thing and he’d send her away.  With her palms sliding flat against her waist, she lowered the skirt, taking her panties the rest of the way down with it, conscious of the heavy feel of the cuffs.  They were bulky and cumbersome around her wrists and ankles, but strangely comforting in a weird, somewhat sexual way.  She assumed he would remove them when he finished with her, and she’d been both relieved and pleased he wasn’t ready to end the night just yet.  She had difficulty swallowing around the lump of vulnerability stuck in her throat when she stood naked before him, but as his
gaze took a slow slide down her body, hot enough to inflame her smoldering arousal, her body responded with its usual fever.
About this author...Who is BJ Wane?

I live in the Midwest with my husband and our two dogs, a Poodle/Pyrenees mix and an Irish Water Spaniel.  I love dogs, enjoy spending time with my daughter, babysitting her two dogs, reading and working puzzles.  We have traveled extensively throughout the states, Canada and just once overseas, but I much prefer being homebody.  I worked for a while writing articles for a local magazine but soon found my interest in writing for myself peaking.  My first book was
strictly spanking erotica, but I slowly evolved to writing erotic romance with an emphasis on spanking.

Recent accolades include: 5 star, Top Pick review from The Romance Reviews for

BLINDSIDED, 5 star review from Long & Short Reviews for HANNAH & THE DOM NEXT

DOOR, which was also voted Erotic Romance of the Month on LASR, and my most recent title,

Ruth Staunton is my #quickpic for #AuthorSpotlight Jan 2015 with 2 new releases

1/22/2015

Ruth Staunton is another one of those fun spanking author friends of mine. We participate in a blog hop on Saturday's Called #SatSpanks! So be sure to check her and all of the fun spanko's out each and every week. Don't forget to be bring your wallet. I hear that so many people find new and fun authors on a weekly basis. At least 25-45 authors participate on any given week. So you're sure to find your next favorite author. Also, the posts are only snippets to get your pulse racing.

Ruth is also in a small group that has written a book within a small fictional town called Corbin's Bend, where everyone in the town believes in domestic discipline...well mostly. Some unsuspecting newcomers learn the hard way I am sure.

Check out the below and see what she has to say...
Suzy Ayers: What is something people aren’t likely to know about you?

RUTH:     I once worked as an assistant art teacher at a Girl Scout camp, even though I can’t draw a straight line.

That's actually really funny!!

Suzy Ayers: A milestone or goal you hope to accomplish this year.

RUTH:     I have two books in the works right now and a third I hope to finish before the year is out. If I do, that will be the most I’ve ever written in one year, which also doesn’t count the two books I have that are about to be published. That will make this my most productive year ever.

Awesome, I know so many struggle. And to do so many full length books is fantastic!

Suzy Ayers: What is your favorite/least favorite part of the writing process?

RUTH:      My favorite part is the character creation work. I love getting to know these people who live inside my head. My least favorite part is revising. It’s painful to cut out those things you have worked so hard on.

I agree. I think editing others work is so much easier, because you aren't so personally connected and you can see their "faults".

Suzy Ayers: What is the biggest piece of advice you find that you give most often to aspiring writers?

RUTH:     Write what you love to read. If you don’t love it, how can you expect anybody else to?

Suzy Ayers: Tell us the book you’re excited to share with us.

Book Title: Learning to Live Again

Book Link: Coming January 29, 2015

Teaser: “Is that what you think this is about?” Grant asked. “You think I’m punishing her for being angry?” He had moved over to lean against the wall and was watching her intently, arms crossed. Lainie opened her mouth to speak, but Grant continued before she got the chance. "No, I don't think you do. In fact, I think you know exactly why I did what I did. You're only in here discussing it because Kathleen came running to you."

That was uncomfortably true, but Lainie protested nonetheless. "It's not that," she insisted. "I just know what is going to be like for her. She's going to be miserable, and then she’s going to try to make me miserable in return. You don’t know what it’s like to be stuck in the house with a moody teenager all day. It’s going to be hell. It’ll be more of a punishment for me than for her. Trust me. I speak from experience."

“That’s even more reason why she doesn’t need to get her way,” Grant said. “She’ll find out quickly that whining and complaining will only make her lose it longer. It’ll be different this time. I’ll be here, for one.”

“No you won’t,” Lainie said stubbornly. “You have to go to Denver in the morning and then I’m sure you’ll find some other errand or something to do. It’ll be me dealing with her and you know it. It always is.”

“It won’t be this time,” Grant persisted. “I’m here now. If she gives you any trouble while I’m gone, just let me know and I will deal with it. It’s my job to set boundaries and enforce them.”

Lainie eyed him skeptically. She really wished she could believe him. She wanted to. It wasn’t that she did not believe he was sincere. She knew he meant it, but meaning it and actually doing it were two different things. Grant didn’t exactly have a good track record when it came to following through and helping her with the kids. However much she wished she could, she had a hard time believing that that was really going to change now.

Grant must have seen what she was thinking on her face because he continued, “Hey, I thought you agreed to let me be the Head of Household?”

He knew damn well she had, but she didn’t believe for a minute that was some magic wand that was going to change everything. “Is that going to be your answer for everything now?” she asked irritably.

Grant didn’t answer. Instead, he crossed over to her and took her chin in his hand. “Didn’t you?”

Reluctantly, Lainie nodded, huffing in exasperation.

“Then trust me to handle it.”

Why did he insist on acting like everything was just so simple? It wasn’t, not at all. Things didn’t change like that. Annoyed, she tried to twist away, but he held her fast, leveling her with a steady look, waiting and clearly expecting an answer.

“Okay, okay, fine,” Lainie said. “Just remember I warned you she was going to make everyone’s life miserable.”

Grant didn’t seem concerned in the least. “Duly noted. Oh, and Lainie, you remember you agreed to let me handle it because if you go against me with the kids again, I’ll not only discipline the child. I’ll spank you too.”

Suzy Ayers: Where are you going next? What is your next project/book?

RUTH:   Grant and Lainie have a follow-up story being released as part of Love in the Rockies, Corbin’s Bend’s Valentine’s Day collection, which will be released on February 1. The story, Unexpected Surprises, covers their first Valentine’s Day in Corbin’s Bend.

Unexpected Surprises by Ruth Staunton

For their first Valentine's Day in Corbin's Bend, Grant Taylor is determined to do something special for his wife Lainie. Lainie, however, has plans of her own. As a middle school teacher, she has volunteered to help plan and chaperone the Valentine dance that is being held for the middle and high school students.

When Grant hears this, he insists that she is working too hard and needs to cut back on the things she has committed to, the first and foremost being the Valentine's Day dance. Lainie insists that she can't do that and finally he reluctantly agrees to let her work part of the dance and then come home.

Under extreme protest, Lainie agrees, but when the time comes to admit to her supervisor that she can't chaperone, she changes her mind and decides Grant is being unreasonable. She determines to chaperone the dance anyway and deal with Grant later. Unfortunately, Lainie's plan doesn't work out quite like she intended it to and she is in for quite a few unexpected surprises.

There’s also going to be a Facebook release party for Love in the Rockies on February 6. It’s going to be lots of fun most if not all of the writers, including myself, will be there. There are going to be giveaways and prizes. You can find out more information about that
here

#AuthorSpotlight Felicity Brandon @FelicityBrandon

8/1/2014

Felicity and I met on Twitter. I have met so many wonderful writers on Twitter. I read one of her books and DAMN it was smoking. Friday's Lesson made me want to sit up and get my lesson. ;)

Felicity found me on Facebook and is an awesome supporter there as well. I love finding others that share posts. It is hard networking and navigating around the red tape.

Since then we have been in an anthology together, which can be found at all the retailers and is free everywhere, but Amazon. However, it includes short stories from multiple authors so is well worth the 99 cents. (see at the bottom for the links).
Suzy Ayers: What is something people aren’t likely to know about you?

Felicity Brandon:   Hi Suzy! Thanks for having me here and starting with such a good question! How about this? As well as being a writer of hard-core, kinky sexuality, I am also a passionate advocate of human rights and freedom of speech. I support local, national and international charities, such as Amnesty International and am a fierce supporter of ending prejudice and inequality wherever it surfaces.

Suzy Ayers: A milestone or goal you hope to accomplish this year.

Felicity Brandon:   I always have two on-going goals:

1. To keep improving my writing.

2. 2. To keep publishing my work!

Beyond this I want to continue my current series of stories (The Kink Between Us) and conclude my first ever erotic novel.

Suzy Ayers: Who is a mentor or someone that you look up to/inspires you?

Felicity Brandon:  For me it’s Anne Rice; she’s an absolute inspiration to me. I adore the texture and tone of her writing. Her characters are as engaging as they are stimulating. I also
respect her ability to keep producing high quality work. It’s my most sincere hope that I will be able to do the same!

Suzy Ayers: What is the biggest piece of advice you find that you give most often

Felicity Brandon:  I consider myself to be an aspiring writer, so am not sure that I’m best placed to offer much in the way of advice... What I might say is this: If you love to write (and I mean if you *really* love it in a way that keeps you awake at night and drives you on during the day,) then get writing! Don’t let anyone else stop you. I was told once by a careers professional (at school) that being an ‘author’ wasn’t a ‘proper job’! I stupidly listened to that advice for far too long! What I realize now is that it’s the proper job

Here here!!

Suzy Ayers: Tell us the book you’re excited to share with us

Felicity Brandon:   What I am most excited about right now is the follow-up to *Destination Anywhere* which I am penning as we speak! This one has taken on a life of its own and I think
I am going to have to release it in two-installments... I have included an excerpt for your readers (but please bear in mind that is unedited and unpublished material! ;-)

“In my mind’s eye I can see myself and know how I must look to Rob. Bound, gagged and blindfolded; my legs are pushed wide apart and the material of my dress is collecting higher and higher at my thighs. My round breasts are exposed and clamped.

The cold metal of the chain rests on my midriff and adds as a tormenter of its own. I am turning into a drooling, grinding and moaning mess and the sheer fact of my appearance is testament to the fact that my inhibitions are now on the floor. I no longer care what he thinks of me. Maybe he wants to stop the vehicle and fuck me over the back seat? Maybe he just wants to get me the hell out of his car! I would understand either emotion if I were him, but neither concerns me anymore. I just want him to get me to my master. I want to
feel him, touch him, smell him and taste him...”

Suzy Ayers: Where are you going next? What is your next project/book?

Felicity Brandon:   I am determined to get my first full-length novel out there for my readers to enjoy.

This has been a huge mission of mine and I am so pleased with how it is turning out (in fact I have already started to sequel!)

Thank you again for hosting me!

I'm so glad you stopped over!!

Suzy Ayers: What is something people aren’t likely to know about you?

Corey Harper:   I’m a guy, and a Dom. J Though I’ve posted this in many different places, I still get asked, probably because there aren’t that many of us guys writing romance, and even fewer that are Doms writing romance.

Suzy Ayers: A milestone or goal you hope to accomplish this year.

Corey Harper:  At least one new trilogy.

Suzy Ayers: Who is a mentor or someone that you look up to/inspires you?

Corey Harper: Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

Suzy Ayers: What is the biggest piece of advice you find that you give most often to aspiring writers?

Corey Harper:  Plant your behind in the chair and write. There’s no secret formula, no shortcut. It’s hard, sometimes frustrating, but ultimately very rewarding, work. I don’t believe in writer’s block—just sit down and write. Anything. If I ever feel temporarily stuck, I just start a conversation between my hero and heroine. It always leads somewhere.

Suzy Ayers: Tell us the book you’re excited to share with us...

Corey Harper:  Book Three of the Baobhan Sith Trilogy, “Legacy of Desire and Blood”, releases June 19, 2014.

Excerpt:
Duncan pulled the car into a spot in front of one of the taller buildings on the west side of the street, where the SUV could be in the shade. Wisps of afternoon fog were just starting to paint pearl–gray streaks in the blue sky, but had not yet blocked the sun.

Kenzi looked out his window at the store they had parked near. “Women’s athletic clothing?” she said.

“It’s the most practical apparel for our current vigorous lifestyle.”

“That’s logical Duncan talking.”

He took her hand. “I like the way you look in spandex.”

“Oh,” she said, smiling. “Do you really?”

He traced his big thumb across the back of her hand, circling each knuckle. “It makes my blood boil when I see you in it.”

“Wow. Spandex it is, then.” Kenzi tilted her head towards the back seat. “What about them?”

Duncan was careful not to turn and look. “I think they’ll be fine. We’ll keep an ear out in case they change their minds and try to kill each other.”

Duncan lifted the lid on the center console compartment, reached his hand inside. Kenzi saw his fingers tapping a complex rhythm underneath the lip of the compartment, and the entire console compartment clicked and lifted an inch. Duncan pulled it up. Inside was a steel–lined box, filled with cash. Kenzi’s eyes goggled.

“You drive a bank vault around?” she said.

He gave a short chuckle, then looked grim. “Malcolm has no doubt seized as many of my assets as he can find. We don’t have time for me to sort through them. But it’s fine—I’ve stashed currency and gold here and there over the years as a precaution for emergencies.”

“Like buying me clothes.” She leaned over the cash–filled compartment and kissed his cheek.

“That’s emergency number one.” He let his hand trail down her spine, and across the soft curve of her bottom, gave her a soft pat that nevertheless made her jump.

Duncan gathered up what Kenzi thought was an absurd amount of cash just for clothing, and stuffed it into the pocket of his jeans. The two of them got out of the car and kept to the shade as they crossed the sidewalk towards the clothing shop.

It was strange, being among regular humans again. Until that moment, Kenzi hadn’t realized how long it had been—was it in Maine, with Otis and his son, that she had last shared space with mortals?

And certainly it had been prior to her newly–awakened craving to feed on warm, living beings. Crossing the sidewalk, dodging pedestrians going about their day, was more difficult than a child passing a chocolate shop without demanding to go in.

Her nostrils flared without her thinking about it, taking in all that delicious warm blood aroma.

“Steady, little one,” Duncan said. He took her hand and squeezed it. She encircled his first two fingers with her small hand and clung to him, drawing her strength from his seemingly endless willpower.

“You asked me earlier if I’d mind giving up being… what we are,” she whispered to him. “More than ever, I want this craving to stop. I can’t stand it!”

“We’ll do whatever we need to do to get there,” he promised her, leading her into the clothing boutique.

Once inside the quiet shop, Kenzi relaxed a little. Only one other female patron was browsing the racks of clothing, and the twenty–something sales clerk sat on a chair behind the counter, reading on her phone. Though both humans smelled yummy, it was less overwhelming than the dozens of people she’d scented outside the shop.

Then Kenzi noticed something as Duncan closed the door behind them: both women came to attention like someone had clapped their hands. The clerk looked up from her reading, and the other shopper froze with a sports bra in her hand. Both women locked their eyes on Duncan.

Kenzi realized she had never seen him among human females, and had never pondered the effect he might have on them. The looks the women were giving him were far more intense than a female might normally give a handsome, muscular man.

Kenzi turned partly away from the women and murmured, “They’re staring at you.”

Duncan looked at her, then around the shop. “Oh. Right. That happens.” He lowered his voice. “It’s a male sith pheromone thing. Makes being a predator that much easier.”

Kenzi could hear the women’s pulses speeding up, see their pupils dilating. Her nostrils flared, and this time not from the scent of blood.

“Umm, we should probably do this quickly, and go,” Kenzi said, sliding her arm through his and pulling herself close to him.

He put his hand atop hers. “You don’t need to rush, sweetness. It will take James awhile to arrive with his delivery. Take your time.”

Oh yeah, right. With another look at the two women, who were all but drooling as they eyed Duncan, Kenzi went to the first rack she came to and started pulling hangers off, tossing the clothing items over her arm. She went to a second rack and did the same.

The clerk stood from behind the counter and came towards them. Her eyes stayed on Duncan the entire time, even when she stood in front of them and asked, “How may I help you today?”

“You may—” Even when Kenzi spoke, the woman didn’t pull her eyes from Duncan, who was looking absently at the array of athletic wear, seemingly unaware of the attention he was receiving. Kenzi stood directly in front of Duncan, between his towering bulk and the salivating clerk.

“Yes, you may help,” Kenzi said, shoving the armload of clothing at the girl. “I’d like to try these on.”

“What?” the clerk said, pulling her eyes from Duncan with obvious reluctance, to more or less focus on Kenzi. “Oh, yes, of course, ma’am. I’ll take these to the fitting room.” Her gaze drifted back to Duncan, and she moved a step closer to him, her chest rising as she breathed him in. “Will there be anything else, sir? I mean, ma’am?”

Ma’am? Kenzi looked younger than even this little slip of a thing. And certainly a lot meaner, if the trollop kept eyeing Duncan the way she was.

Now the other patron came over. “I could use some help, too,” she said, talking to the clerk but looking at Duncan.

This was getting ridiculous. Neither the clerk nor the other customer had even noticed that Kenzi was barefoot, and clad only in a man’s shirt with a belt around the waist. It was Sebastopol, after all, but still. In another minute the two harpies would be crawling all over him, and Kenzi didn’t trust herself not to flick one or both of them across the little shop. And Duncan was apparently oblivious to the whole thing as he looked at a rack of yoga pants. He pulled out two pair, one in royal purple, the other emerald green.

“Like your eyes,” he smiled as he handed the green ones to her.

She checked the tag—the sweet man had handed her size six—switched them for the same colors in her size, faced back towards Duncan. She’d turned her back for ten seconds, and the two overheated women had moved even closer to him. And he was looking at tops now, still unaware that he was the center of attention. She had to get him away from them before someone ended up bloody.

“Duncan, will you help me?” Kenzi said, taking the armload of clothing back from the clerk, who had made no move towards the fitting room.

“Of course, sweetness,” he said, plucking the bundle from her.

In his massive arms, her selection of garb looked tiny, an observation not lost on the other two women either.

“That’s okay,” Kenzi said to the clerk. “He’ll help me.”

“Are you sure?” the clerk said, turning a little sidelong to Duncan and— Good heavens, was she thrusting her rear towards him?

Kenzi grabbed Duncan’s hand. “Yes, it’s fine. Why don’t you help this nice woman here?”

“I’d rather help you,” the clerk said, not even pretending to look at Kenzi this time.

Okay, that was enough! Kenzi knew Duncan’s feelings on the matter, but desperate times. “You help this woman,” Kenzi said, the music of the Binding creeping into her voice. “Now. Be off with you.”

The girl shifted her gaze to Kenzi, who had tried to keep the darkness from tinting her eyes. She didn’t think she’d been entirely successful, because the clerk shrank back a little as her eyes widened. But still she didn’t move from Duncan’s right side, and the other woman flanked his left side.

Criminy! What kind of spell was Duncan casting here, that even her Binding couldn’t punch through?

He had frowned down at her when he heard the melody in her voice.

Don’t you dare look at me like that! Don’t you see what you’re doing to these women?

I… Oh. No, hadn’t noticed. Sorry, my darling. Hang on…

Duncan smiled at the two women on either side of him. “Ladies,” he said. “I am going to assist the love of my life with her fitting. You,” to the clerk, “help her,” the customer, “now.”

Both women came to attention like he’d slapped them, and with looks that reeked of disappointment, but still held hope, the clerk led the other woman to racks at the far end of the store.

“I apologize again, my sweet,” Duncan said to her, taking her hand in his free one. “I haven’t been around human females in some time.”

“I thought they were going to rape you!”

He laughed, a full male sound from deep in his belly that made Kenzi and the two women turn towards him. “Not a chance, darling. I only have nose for you,” he said, flaring his nostrils and breathing her in. “If anyone is to be taken advantage of here, it will be you.”

She held his gaze with her own, her emerald eyes sparkling. A moment longer, then she dropped her eyes. “I dare you,” she whispered.

His eyes went from that startling azure to midnight in an instant. He pulled her hand, towing her towards the rear of the shop.

His hand was so hot in hers that she thought she would light ablaze. Every cell in her body began tingling. What was he going to do?

Suzy Ayers: Where are you going next? What is your next project/book?

Not quite sure how I met Edward Naughty, except perhaps in Facebook channels. Knowing me, I probably approached him/friended him. I read an excerpt of Lisa Always, um yeah very hot peeps! Library scene trying to be quiet...she's in control..I remember the scene well, I thought I read it. Now I am thinking I really want to read it. Click on the book below if you do too.

Recently he has been churning out the books to the point where I am jealous. His newest books are a series “Shades of Naughty…” And I hope they do well. He has romance books, and some tentacle books that have hit bestsellers lists. He is also in an anthology Heat Waves; you can see the hot cover below. That too is free and he is joined with a group of very talented authors.

He is forever sharing and promoting, so I thought what better way to pay some of that back then to post him here on my Author Spotlight. He can be naughty and nice. Thanks for popping over Naughty. xx Suzy

Suzy Ayers: What is something people aren’t likely to know about you?

Edward Naughty:  First and foremost I am a writer. Erotica and Erotic Romance are my preferred genres. Although, I'm a Renaissance Man. I am also an artist, musician, animator, filmmaker, and coder. I have pitched a 13 episode series to a major television studio and produced a pilot episode, although it never aired. I have worked on two independent feature films and both have gotten international distribution. I can move my penis through sheer will and have used it on occasion to hold up a wet bath towel.

LOL! OMG you crack me up

Suzy Ayers: A milestone or goal you hope to accomplish this year.

Edward Naughty:  I am excited to publish my non-fiction book entitled, “How I Write a Naughty Story.” In the book I take the reader on a journey through my creative process, thoughts, and feelings every step of the way to completion.

Also looking forward to sharing my writing software application that I developed entitled, “Naughty's Foreplay.” I will do my best to help you fill all of your holes. 8======D ~ ~ ~ O^;

Suzy Ayers: Who is a mentor or someone that you look up to/inspires you?

Edward Naughty:
Here is a list of creative people/works that I admire:

The Beatles

Richard Hell and the Voidoids

The Misfits (with Glenn Danzig)

Sex Pistols

Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Rocky Horror Picture Show

Astrud Gilberto

Lou Reed

David Bowie

Roy Lichtenstein

Andy Warhol

Anaïs Nin

Napoleon Hill

Robert Crumb

Suzy Ayers: What is the biggest piece of advice you find that you give most often to aspiring writers?

Edward Naughty:  Be patient, enjoy the process, and hang on tight, because it is a roller coaster ride. Also Don't put vaginas on your covers, otherwise they'll get put into the dungeon never to be seen again.

We don't want that...hmm or do we want to be in the dungeon?

Suzy Ayers: Tell us the book you’re excited to share with us...

Edward Naughty: I am really excited to release my “Fifty Shades of Naughty Trilogy.” I enjoyed writing every moment of it. Remember, “Chance is watching you...” ;)

Excerpt:

"You must have seen what happened on the

video screens," Gwendolyn said.

"We didn't see anything," someone said.

"The video screens were turned off when we

were on our way here," someone else said. "Don't

make excuses."

Gwendolyn jumped up toward the video

screens throwing her fists in the air.

"Show the instant replay!" Gwendolyn shouted.

"Show the instant replay, mother fuckers!"

Gwendolyn was completely out of breath

gasping for air. Her eyes welled up and her hand

were shaking. She realized at that moment, Chance

was in control of the game.

Suzy Ayers: Where are you going next? What is your next project/book?

Edward Naughty:  The two stories that I am writing in parallel are:

“Sex Transmutation”

Description:

Johnny Think had an issue with being distracted by beautiful ladies. He had lost everything and was desperate to get back on his feet and gain success. A book had entered his consciousness that led him on his path. There was the topic of Sex Transmutation that had him confused. It was a mystery that he needed to solve. He experimented and stumbled on to a secret of strengthening his will. Would he be able to control his new found power? Or would it consume him?

“Fifty Shades of Lisa Always and the Candy Crush”

Description:

Lisa Always was freaked out because she read Edward Naughty’s “Fifty Shades of Naughty Trilogy” and was under the impression that Chance was going to read her mind. If things hadn’t gotten bad enough, Candy Sometimes had stopped by to profess her love to Lisa once again. If only Lisa had a sanctuary to free her mind and decide what to do regarding Chance and Candy. She looked to Allan for advice. He shared a secret with her that just might supply her with exactly what she desired. Does Lisa find what she was looking for?

I am also working on my story entitled, "Summer Lovin'" for the Summer Anthology Heat Wave.

About the Author:
Best Selling Erotic Science Fiction Author of “I've Fallen and there's a Tentacle in my Butt”

Living, loving, and writing steamy naughty stories is my passion. Erotica and Erotic Romance are my preferred genres. I had formerly written comedy under another pen name until I got the nerve to express my naughty side. I have been told by readers that not only do they find my erotic stories interesting and hot, but they also find them humorous. Women frequently message me, expecting me to be inappropriate. They have been surprised to find out that I am really a great guy. I have been told it's sweet how shy I am. I am a gentleman and believe women should be treated with respect. Want to find out if I'm naughty? Come sit on my lap. ;)

I met Cara, like most authors, on Twitter. It seems to be the place we hang out and share our books. We can chat about our projects and progress.

Last fall she invited me to a closed Facebook group for authors who write spanking fiction and it has been a great resource for me. I felt honored to be invited and since then I’ve jumped into SatSpanks. This is The Saturday Spanking Blog blog hop that we are both in, as well as many other fantastic authors.

I read her book Rod and Cane Society book Body Politics. To see my review on that one CLICK HERE! I really enjoyed that book as well. ;) Her latest book Breeder seems to be hitting all the marks with readers. I’ve read some snippets and scenes through the blog hop, which is what I love and hate about it. Such a tease! Check out the cool cover and excerpt below. She’s working on book two and it should be out soon.

Suzy Ayers: What is something people aren’t likely to know about you?

Cara Bristol: That I like baked sweet potato fries with ketchup? J I’m a nester and a homebody who married a wanderer. Together we have traveled quite few places: Turkey, Greece, France, Italy, Croatia, Thailand, China, Estonia, the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, England, Portugal, Spain, Russia, Germany, Monaco, Costa Rica, Panama, Mexico, Canada, many places in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. I’ve visited three-quarters of the states of the U.S.

I am jealous I've always wanted to go to Sweden!

Suzy Ayers: A milestone or goal you hope to accomplish this year.

Cara Bristol:  My goal is publish four books this year: Breeder 2: Terran, Breeder 3: Warrior, Long Shot (part of the Corbin’s Bend domestic discipline series), and the fifth book in the Rod and Cane Society domestic discipline series. I’m also focusing on the timing of releases—to publish them at regular intervals, rather than having six months between releases or having three come out in the same month.

Wow, that's a lot of full length books!

Suzy Ayers: Who is a mentor or someone that you look up to/inspires you?

Cara Bristol: I would hesitate to name a particular person. Rather, I admire many people for different reasons: some are extremely prolific and can write way faster than I can, some are absolutely fabulous writers, some are masters at social media, and others, frankly, are earning boatloads of money.

Suzy Ayers: What is the biggest piece of advice you find that you give most often to aspiring writers?

Cara Bristol: It’s the same advice I give to authors in general: if you do nothing else, eliminate “was” and “were” from your manuscript. This alone will force you to use active voice and more descriptive verbs, which will enliven your writing. Use the “find” or “search” command for “was” and “were.”  Then rewrite those sentences. As a rule of thumb, limit yourself to an average of three wases per page.

This is a good one and a new one for me.

Suzy Ayers: Tell us the book you’re excited to share with us:

Cara Bristol: I’m excited about Breeder, a sci-fi romance about a humanoid alien world where the men rule, and women are breeding slaves. Dak, one of five Alpha Commanders, purchases Omra intending to impregnate her and then hand her over to his male beta partner. But he falls in love with her instead. Here’s the scene where Dak brings her home (thinking his beta will be pleased):

They had halted under a portico, its roof supported by two massive stone pillars. Builders had constructed the lower portion of the main structure from gray Parseon marble, the top half from an opaque reflective material. In keeping with Parseon culture, which valued function over beauty, the edifice formed a square, its corners and walls plumb, with not a single stone misaligned nor a single adornment to soften the starkness except for veins meandering through the marble in an unruly way.

“My domicile,” Alpha announced.

A massive wooden door opened, and a tall man emerged.

Corren, she presumed, and studied him from beneath her lashes.

If not for his insignia and his brown uniform, he could have been mistaken for an alpha. Corded muscles bulged in his arms and rippled across his chest. His hair was of some medium shade, cropped short like an Alpha rather than chin length like a typical beta. He spared her not a glance but focused on the Commander.

Alpha alighted from the conveyance, and the two men embraced in a Bridge of Amity, a sign denoting friendship or a truce, depending on the situation. The Commander clasped Corren’s bare right shoulder, and the beta touched Alpha’s left uniform-covered one, their arms forming a link between them. She studied the two men and redacted her impression of Corren as alpha-like. Next to the Commander, he dwindled in stature and comportment. He stood almost a head shorter, his shoulders were narrower, his musculature puny, his bearing common. But who could compare to Alpha?

“Kianiko?” Alpha asked, in the Parseon greeting used with familiars.

“I am well,” the beta responded. “Kianiko?”

“Excellent. The ride offered a pleasant diversion.”

They broke apart, and Corren retreated. He continued to ignore Omra but eyed the beasts and the sheen of sweat glistening on their coats. “I do not understand why you travel this way. But as you will. I shall have the stable keeper unbridle the animals and tend to their needs.” He paused. “Tell me about the female.”

“She is unbred.”

Corren arched his eyebrows.

Dak yanked up her shift, nudged her legs apart, and flicked at the ring between her legs. The sun felt hot against her exposed sex, the finger that brushed against her warmer still.

Alpha was focused on her, his head bent, so he did not catch the animosity that flashed in Corren’s gaze, but Omra did. She swallowed.

“A fortuitous find for you,” Corren said. Equanimity filled his eyes now.

The Commander let her smock fall. “And for you. She will serve your physical needs when you require release.”

“Thank you.” Corren nodded, but he did not sound at all grateful or appreciative, not to Omra’s ears anyway. “Now I understand why a courier delivered female uniforms this morning. I almost sent them back to the vendor, thinking it an error, but decided to check with you.”

“The articles came? Good. That was fast.”

“You are Alpha,” Corren commented drily. The familiarity Alpha allowed his beta heightened Omra’s respect for the Commander. Secure in his status, he did not dominate for the show of it.

“Indeed.” Alpha’s mouth twitched as he exchanged a glance with his beta. He beckoned to her. “Come.”

Omra scooted to the edge of the seat and jumped to the ground. She stumbled and would have fallen on the stone entry walk except that Alpha caught her elbow and steadied her. “This is my beta, Corren,” he informed her. “You remember what we talked about.”

Obey. She nodded in comprehension.

To Corren he said, “Her name is Omra.”

The beta tightened his lips.

Alpha arched an eyebrow. “You find her lacking?”

“May I speak freely?”

The Commander nodded. “Your opinion is worthy.”

“She appears scrawny and weak bodied, and I predict she will be unable to bear the rigors of domestic labors, let alone produce your progeny.” He sniffed.

Dak blinked. “You sound almost jealous.”

Nicole Ryan is a fellow erotica author and it’s kind of funny how we met. I was reading Backstage Pass: Drummers Do It Better and my Kindle gave me an error at 94% complete. Grr. Initially, I went to Amazon and when I was still unable to read it, I said screw it; it’s only maybe a page. I sent her a direct message on Twitter. She DM’d me all the lines that were left. Since then she’s hosted one of my shorts Cristal Blue on her page and I’ve been bugging her once in awhile with questions. I love Twitter-verse and all the many authors’ great support within it. If you haven’t yet read anything from her, well first I’d wonder what planet you were from and second I’d recommend Castles Burning. All of her titles are under 2 bucks if not free.

Thanks Nicole so grateful you are gracing my page this month!!
Suzy Ayers: What is something people aren’t likely to know about you?

Nicole Ryan: I am a mother.

Suzy Ayers: Who is a mentor or someone that you look up to/inspires you?

Nicole Ryan: Most of my fellow authors indie and otherwise, inspire me greatly. There is so much talent and beauty in the world... if you can't find inspiration in the world around you, it can be very difficult to write.

Suzy Ayers: What is the biggest piece of advice you find that you give most often to aspiring writers?

Nicole Ryan: The biggest piece of advice I can offer is to write every, single, day. Even if it's only one word. Write something. Re-write something. Edit something. Whatever it is as long as it get's you a step closer to your goal.

Suzy Ayers: Tell us the book you’re excited to share with us.

Nicole Ryan: I'm very excited to share the full length novel Castles Burning. It was originally published in three parts, but now I've combined them all into one book, and have also added bonus material!

Excerpt

My heart started to race and I hurried into the bathroom, splashing water on my face. It felt light and not quite cool, a strange detail I’d never noticed before.

I looked up and stared at myself in the mirror. I leaned in very close, my nose nearly touching it and closed my eyes. I took a deep breath and remembered something I’d read in a book, or seen in a movie once. If you can’t even stare at yourself in the eyes for one minute, the problem you’re seeking to fix might be within. I forced my eyes open and looked in the mirror, really looked. My heart thundered in my ears as I leaned in, examining the reflection before me.

Have you ever really looked at yourself in the mirror, leaned in very close and searched the depths of your eyes? Have you ever had a picture in your mind of what you saw when you were looking in the mirror… and dismissed it? It’s tough to lean in close and just examine yourself, not posing, or smiling; just being you. Have you ever stared so deep into your own eyes that you could make out the menacing hills and valleys that make up the vibrant color, deep beneath the clear surface?

I hadn’t. In that moment, stuck somewhere between dreams and reality, I realized I never had really, truly seen myself.

Suzy Ayers: Where are you going next? What is your next project/book?

Nicole Ryan: My next project is actually still brewing. It's an apocalypse story, there will be at least two parts, both books will be from opposite ends of the experience so that the readers can get a broader view of the story as a whole. It's definitely scifi! I'm very excited about it.

Shoshanna Evers was the first person to introduce herself to me on a Yahoo loop. Since I was a bit overwhelmed and full of questions, well…I blurted them all out in my first hello. Shoshanna replied, and answered what she could, as well as giving me a link: http://www.SelfPubBookCovers.com. This site has a free PDF of the book Successful Self-Publishing: How We Do It (And How You Can Too) and it proved to be invaluable. I have since passed it along to so many other writers.

She has shown me more than most to pay if forward, and that we aren’t competing against each other—that we each have our own voice. She has become a mentor to me, despite her extremely busy schedule. She has this talent and ability to make you feel never rushed when talking to her, important and her down-to-earth personality always shines through. And yes, that site above is also her baby. She actually took the time out to help me with my book covers. She had me email my purchased ones to her and we discussed them. Ah yes this newbie needed help! Oh and I should mention she helped me with my pen name, explaining that I should have one that I would be able to answer to at book-signings; I only hope to one day do that.

Shoshanna has made me realize just how wonderful and supportive authors are. Honestly, she probably has no idea just how much she has meant to me. If you want to check out a hot little treasure (not that I know of anyone who hasn’t read her yet), Overheated is a 5 star sexy one!

Suzy Ayers: What is something people aren’t likely to know about you?

 Shoshanna Evers:

Something people aren’t likely to know about me… hmmm. I’m in the habit of baring my soul on Twitter all the time, to the point that sometimes my sister finds out about things on Twitter rather than from me, which really annoys her. I’m just glad she follows me on Twitter then, lol! So I’m hard-pressed to find something that you guys don’t know.

Let’s see… I’m really into crystal healing. That’s something not everyone knows! Personally, I’ve found that clear quartz crystal in particular reacts with my body almost instantly, in a good way. So sometimes when I Tweet that I have a headache or something, a minute later I’m lying on my bed with a crystal balanced on my forehead, lol! Right now I’m wearing two gemstone bracelets in all the chakra colors, one on each wrist, and I have clear quartz in my pocket. :)

Suzy Ayers: Who is a mentor or someone that you look up to/inspires you?

Shoshanna Evers:

I’m really inspired by every author out there. We’re all in this together! Reading has always been my first love, and writing came out of that. So I read all the time, and I’m constantly adding new favorite authors to my list. The best part is, with social media, when I read a book I enjoy I can tell the author directly! My readers also inspire me. Without my readers, I’d be writing into an abyss. I love you all!

Suzy Ayers: What is the biggest piece of advice you find that you give most often to aspiring writers?

Shoshanna Evers:

Write. So many aspiring writers say they want to write a book, but what separates the aspiring writers from *writers* is that writers write. We sit down every day and get to work. We can’t wait for the muse to find us, we have to go out and grab her and handcuff her to the computer. When I was first starting out, an author told me this, and I’ll never forget it: BICHOK. Butt In Chair, Hands On Keyboard. That’s how books get written. :)

My next piece of advice is, if you choose to self-publish, make sure your book cover rocks. I find that so important that, as you know, I co-founded an entire website devoted to helping indie authors get great covers created by professional graphic designers. We just launched SelfPubBookCovers.com in February and I’m thrilled with the enthusiastic response from authors and artists!

ENSLAVED

Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, iTunes

From a red-hot erotica writer comes an original eBook—a sensual romp across the playgrounds of the unbelievably rich and extremely sexy.

Elisabeth Anderson’s seen Trevor and his friends at the infamous Manhattan BDSM club WhipperSnapper, where everyone calls them the BAD Boys, for “Billionaire Arrogant Doms.” The BAD Boys—Trevor Brooks, Marc Wilde, and Roman Chase—are aptly named; they’ve become rich from the ground up with their aggressive investing at the Brooks Wilde Chase Fund. …Rich to the point that these guys can do anything they want and get away with it, or so the rumors go.

Trevor gives Elisabeth full reign of his estate in Westchester, letting her do as she pleases. He has only two rules. Rule One: she must obey and submit to him while she is living in his house. Rule Two: always answer the blue cell phone. She’s happy to oblige, because being with Trevor makes her want to obey, to love him the way he seems to be falling for her. But Elisabeth’s never been good at being the quiet sub, she’s more of a fiery “brat” who gets off on the punishments she receives more than on pleasing Trevor.

Elizabeth can’t submit to Trevor the way he needs her to, so his friend and business partner (and fellow BAD Boy) Roman takes her in hand. But love triangles can have sharp edges…and somebody’s bound to get hurt.

ENAMORED

Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo and iTunes

The second original eBook in the red-hot Enslaved trilogy begins with a dangerous bet that turns good friends into exquisite lovers.

Billionaire BAD Boy Marc Wilde has never met a woman who could fulfill his every need…until he takes his good friend and fellow dominant Mistress Lauren up on a dangerous bet—a bet where she ends up as his sex slave for a week. Can a Dominatrix fall in love with a Dom? Only if she can find a way to submit to Marc’s every desire and be happy about it. Lauren has her doubts…but the flirtation, the friendship, and the sex might be too much for either to resist…

ENRAPTURED

Amazon, Barnes & Noble

The stunning conclusion to the red-hot Enslaved erotica trilogy finds a curious young beauty baring more than her skin…

Lovely, blonde, and young, Jessica accepted a job at New York’s most exclusive BDSM nightclub to make ends meet…and to satisfy her curiosity. Nobody is more intriguing than the BAD boys—Billionaire Arrogant Doms—a trio of unbelievably rich and sexy men. Jessica willingly gets involved with the group, shedding her formerly shy persona to explore the limits of her own desire. But she isn’t sure how vulnerable she wants to be…until the one BAD Boy who never wants to fall in love again—the gorgeous, passionate, and unexpectedly tender Roman—takes an interest in her, and Jessica finds herself drawn deeper into his world than she ever expected.

Suzy Ayers: Where are you going next? What is your next project/book?

Shoshanna Evers:

Baby Got Back - my short story Body Heat will be in the Cleis Press anthology, out August 2013

The Big Book of Orgasm - my short story Forced Orgasms will be in the Cleis Press anthology, out September 2013

The Tycoon’s Convenient Bride…and Baby, Entangled Publishing, release date TBD

I also just got the rights back to one of my backlist books, so I’ll be re-editing and re-releasing it at some point soon.

And since some of my readers only read paperbacks, I will be bundling some of my shorter self-pub novellas into a print book as well. The longer ones are already in print in many cases.

If you want to get my New Release Newsletter when I have a new book out, please sign up on my website (right side of the page): http://shoshannaevers.com/blog/ I promise to respect your inbox!

Also... I have a CONTEST! Click here to enter to win an autographed paperback edition of The Dominatrix Fantasy Trilogy, which features a sexy Domme like Mistress Lauren in Enamored.
