Well, enough chatter, on to the main event...
Christa: This is a total random fact. I don’t drink anything hot. No coffee, tea or hot chocolate.
Suzy Ayers: A milestone or goal you hope to accomplish this year.
Christa: I have a four book series in the works. I’m hoping to release one if not two books this year.
Suzy Ayers: Who is a mentor or someone that you look up to/inspires you?
Christa: I don’t have any mentors. But I look up to author Elle Aycart. I love her story telling and writing style.
Suzy Ayers: What is your favorite/least favorite part of the writing process?
Christa: I think the majority of us authors have a love/hate relationship with the writing processing. One minute we are in love with our work in progress, the next we’re ready to delete the entire thing. It’s a vicious cycle.
Suzy Ayers: What is the biggest piece of advice you find that you give most often to aspiring writers?
Christa: Don’t fall into the trends and write for yourself.
Love it Christa! I wholeheartedly agree!
Suzy Ayers: Where are you going next? What is your next project/book?
Christa: Like I mentioned before, I have four book series coming out. The first book to be released is titled, “Dream On.”
Suzy Ayers: What is something you have learned the hard way and would like to share?
Christa: When I was first starting out in author world, I was naïve and trusted people I shouldn’t have. Unfortunately, I learned that some only look out for themselves and they will step on the little people to get ahead in this industry. To me that’s just sad.
Suzy Ayers: Do you have a vice that appears especially when you write?
Christa: The only vice I can think of would Diet Coke. I consume way too much of it.
***Author's note*** This book is not recommended for readers under the age of eighteen, due to strong sexual content, language, child abuse, and drug reference. Also, this is the first book in a series.
A murderer’s child…A foster child…A troubled teen…Gabriel ‘The Saint’ Vega has never had an easy life. Being shuffled from one foster home to another after his father murdered his mother, he found himself in and out of trouble with the law. Never giving a damn about himself, let alone anyone else, his life was spiraling out of control; fast. Until one man and one sport changed everything.
Frankie Carbone taught Saint how to handle his anger and rejection; by fighting it out in the ring. On his way to stardom, Saint finds himself pushed into the spotlight and into the arms of more women than he can ever imagine; he’s completely content with one night stands and random sex.
Then Salem Harris comes walking into his life and changes his game plan. Saint finds himself wanting Salem in all the ways that scare him. She is off limits; taken. But that doesn’t stop Saint from going after what he wants, and he wants her.
Frankie showed Saint a new way of life with Boxing, but will Salem give him the one thing he's never known – love? Will Saint find himself fighting for the one thing he thinks he doesn't deserve or will Salem end up breaking his heart? Gabriel ‘The Saint’ Vega has had to fight for every good thing he's gotten in his life.
